2010 Traditions

The first year is not certain.  Chris thinks it was 1985 or '86.  How do you know when a tradition starts?  One thing is certain, you don't question it, you just do it.  It's going on 20 years for me.

Scott and Chris are part of a core group of friends and families who get together every New Years day to make a resolution, brace themselves for the shock and run in the ocean screaming.  Once our toes and fingers are numb, we wade back to shore.  There, by the fire, we eat left overs, chips and whatever snacks people brought.  Kids have gotten older, but somehow, we don't seem that different.  It's about lasting friendships and celebrating another year together.   New people always joins us and, as always, are welcomed and included into the tradition.  It's a good way to start the year.  What about you?
